Dorothy Perkins
Dorothy Perkins is one of the Arcadia Group’s largest online brands and has recently undergone a relaunch of their online store.
Working with the Dorothy Perkins team, the team of front-end developers I lead worked hard to deliver a redesign of the site within a schedule and budget that had zero room for movement. The launch of the site coincided with the rollout of a bespoke CMS built in Java, Adobe Flex and Apache Velocity which allowed the team to deliver content far faster and more efficiently within the project timescales.
The CMS also passes more responsibility back to the Dorothy Perkins team, allowing them to update far more areas of the site with little or no technical knowledge. Quality assurance is guaranteed as the CMS rigidly enforces the need for valid data and user testing prior to publishing and the design templates that the brand use are thoroughly tested to ensure the designs are consistently accurate in each of the brand’s target browsers.
