Global Fitness Education

Global Fitness Education (GFE) is a fitness instructor training company that offers a variety of Fitness Instructor courses and Personal Trainer courses worldwide.

Owner Dan Wortley contacted me after receiving a recommendation for my search engine optimisation work at Arcadia as he was looking for somebody to overhaul the GFE site inline with a report he’d commissioned from search company BigMouth Media.

Working within the constraints of the content management system the GFE site uses I was able to implement the majority of the report’s recommendations and assist Dan with his ongoing promotion and development of his online business.

This included a complete rebuild of the site’s presentation layer (XHTML, CSS, jQuery) and a number of major improvements to the way the site is exposed to and indexed by Google.

Traffic to the site has since steadily climbed and GFE’s position in the Google search rankings has risen dramatically as a result of this SEO work and I continue to support Dan and his team in building on this success.

Site redesign

The GFE site has now been redesigned and the public area rebuilt on the Expression Engine platform. The new design is more up-to-date and has been specifically developed to increase conversion rates.
